K, the Plastics and Rubber Industry Trade Fair, to Be Staged in Düsseldorf, Germany

The worldwide number one plastics and rubber trade show, K, will be held at the Messe Düsseldorf convention center from 19th to 26th October this autumn. As with previous years events, K offers professionals in plastic and rubber products and material sciences the chance to mingle with one another and to find out more about the latest technological developments in the sector. Attendees are expected from across the globe with the event being augmented by a significant number of virtual visitors. Various virtual meetings are on offer at K with up to 50 delegates being able to sign up for them at a single time.

This year's trade fair will have three distinct themes. The first of these is the circular economy. According to K, this theme is the biggest field of action for the industry today. Ten pavilions are being dedicated to this part of the show in 2022 which aims to explore how plastics will help to shape the future economy in a more sustainable manner. The other two themes that attendees can expect to hear a great deal about this year are digitalisation and climate protection. The organizers of K reckon that digital networking is a key part of the plastics and rubber industries these days and want to shift more professional attention into matters like artificial intelligence and augmented reality. Such digital technologies will feature heavily at the 2022 edition of K.

One of the reasons that people attend K frequently is the fact that they are able to find out new ideas from new suppliers. K estimates that just under half of its attendees will start doing business with new contacts following a visit. As might be expected, therefore, this year's trade show will also have a strong focus on the latest in plastic and rubber product designs. Four areas have been singled out by K for particular attention. These are raw materials, semi-finished products and technical parts, machinery and equipment and, finally, services, research and science. Particular areas of interest to professionals will undoubtedly be the focus on composite materials and lightweight construction methods now on offer within the industry.

Early starters can expect breakfasts organized at this year's K that will center on bio-technologies. So-called Bioplastics Business Breakfasts will run each day offering a condensed learning experience. Equally, Rubberstreet is the place to head for a singular focus on rubber-related issues.

With so much going on, why not save the date?
