Aircraft Interiors Expo Takes Off in June

Aimed at air operators and third-party suppliers to the aviation interior industry, Aircraft Interiors Expo will take place from 14th to 16th June, 2022 in the Hamburg Messe, in Germany. The annual trade fair is now in its 22nd year having originally started out in Cannes. Also known as AIX, this year's Aircraft Interiors Expo will seek to connect airlines with leading aviation suppliers, allowing them to discover more about the latest in interior design work and to form new networks within the sector. Overall, AIX's mission statement might as well read that it wants to elevate the aeroplane cabin user experience for the betterment of both passengers and crew.

According to AIX, the trade fair has evolved in recent years – partly due to coronavirus restrictions that have affected both the professional trade show industry and the aviation sector alike. This year's expo will allow registered visitors to organize their own meetings via AIX Connect, a digital service that supports business communications at the show. The virtual platform will allow attendees to search for who they would like to meet face to face at the exhibition before they even get there. Something like a dating app, it allows visitors to request time with whoever they want at the show, either to review their design ideas in person or to make a sales pitch, among other activities. This is a new service but one that reflects the more virtual AIX shows that have taken place recently.

Another striking activity at AIX 2022, will be the much-vaunted CabinSpace Live Seminar which will feature several industry experts. The IFEC Zone, the Crystal Cabin Awards and a number of sessions designed to promote networking are also planned. Exhibitors are drawn from all over the world. The majority of them are European suppliers and design houses but exhibitors from Africa, the Americas and Asia will all feature, too. Even more enticing for those who work in the industry, no fewer than 78 new exhibitors to AIX, so far, will have stands for the first time at this year's show.

Many of the exhibiting firms specialize in passenger well-being and comfort but others are high-tech exhibitors dealing with subjects such as mobile app development and augmented reality technologies. Judging by the interest in AIX, it seems that digital technologies, including so-called big data analytics, along with aviation food services, are among the two top trending activities in the sector today.

If you would like to attend this year's Aircraft Interiors Expo, registration can be conducted online in a matter of moments.
