Passenger Terminal EXPO Set to Land in Paris

The hugely popular Passenger Terminal EXPO will take place from 15 to 17 June 2022 after some pandemic-related problems for the trade fair in the last couple of years. The Porte de Versailles will host the expo this summer when at least 10,000 people from over 130 countries are expected to attend one of the premier trade fairs in the entire aviation industry. As well as a trade fair, the Passenger Terminal EXPO is also a conference at which around 2,000 senior airport, aviation authority, government and air operator commercial executives will gather to network and discuss the latest issues that affect passenger terminal travel today.

Covering an area of some 19,000 square meters, the Passenger Terminal EXPO is a large event. Service and technology providers will have stands at the fair along with suppliers of passenger safety equipment. When the last event was staged in person, back in 2019, there were well over 300 expert speakers and this summer's event looks to exceed this with an expected number of conference addresses to top the 375 mark. Among those speakers who have already been announced are Steve Armitage, the head of technology design and innovation at Heathrow Airport, Bala Baskaran, Dublin Airport's data engineering and platforms manager, and Elisabeth Bernitt, senior vice president at AECOM Technical Services Inc.

Outof the innovative products that will be showcased at Passenger Terminal EXPO 2022, on will discover newly developed biometric boarding devices and automated queuing information systems. Attendees will also be able to take a close look at the latest in checkpoint security systems and solutions such as automated docking sensors for aircraft as well as automated passenger document checking systems. Other exhibitors will be showcasing the latest ideas in seating systems for airport terminals.

Among the confirmed exhibitors for this year's show are Collins Aerospace, Everis, Bagtag EBT Platform Solutions, British Aviation Group, Thales, Hill International and IATA. Others who have booked exhibition space already include the likes of JBT AeroTech, Nokia, NG Aviation, ServiceTec, Starglide and Veovo.

The World Airport Awards will also feature as a part of this year's Passenger Terminal EXPO. The covered categories include the most improved airports and the world's cleanest airports. Attendees will be able to book themselves into networking events and take part in panel discussions that are planned to be fully interactive this year. Scheduled talks include commercial development and the retail experience on the first day followed by environment and sustainability as well as airport design, planning and development on days two and three respectively.

A virtual version of the expo can also be booked with an on-demand pass. Alternatively, visitors are able to register for their in-person attendance.
