From November 15 to 18, 2022, EuroTier, the world's premier livestock breeding and management show, is excited to gather 1,600 exhibitors spread over 240,000 m² on 13 halls in Hannover.
This 2022 edition will have the theme "Transforming Animal Farming" to enable professionals in the different sectors to adapt to future general conditions by transforming processes and production. Production and value chains, in addition to societal and environmental requirements for animal husbandry, are changing in Germany and Europe, but also worldwide. It is, therefore, important for farm managers and companies in the agri-food sector to actively shape the future. This is where EuroTier comes in and delivers innovations and solutions as an international platform. "With this theme, we are listening to the news. Despite the impact of the pandemic over the past two years, exhibitor interest is extremely high”, showing that EuroTier remains the main platform to showcase state-of-the-art technologies and innovation and discuss influencing factors for successful breeding.
Digitization and direct farm sales
EuroTier will also focus on digitization, as digital technologies offer optimized processes and more excellent production efficiency across the value chain. The show will also highlight processing and direct farm sales, which are becoming increasingly attractive to many agricultural businesses. The various themes addressed during the show will cover the leading products and services related to breeding, in particular: genetics, breeding programs and breeding techniques; animal feed and its storage; feeding technologies; the latest climate technologies, livestock housing; manure systems; transportation and logistics; accessories; marketing and many other services, such as direct farm sales.
Digital events from October
In addition to professional information, EuroTier will offer international conferences and forums on the latest issues affecting professional breeding. Among the topics are the TopTierTreff event for bovine genetics, the International Cattle and Pig Event, and the International Poultry Event. Moreover, the German Association of Veterinary Practitioners (BPT) plans to host its annual congress at EuroTier, which will be attended by over 2,500 veterinarians. The associated veterinary fair is being held alongside EuroTier 2022. Part of the program will be allocated to digital events, starting in October on www.dlg-connect.com, a digital knowledge-sharing platform launched and developed by the DLG, the German Agricultural Society, organizer of EuroTier.
