Covering a wide range of process industries today - including chemical engineering, environmental protection and biotechnology, among others - ACHEMA 2022 will be staged at Frankfurt am Main from 22nd to 26th August later this year. ACHEMA is billed as the leading international event for the process industries today. It will be held at the Frankfurt Trade Fair Hall, or Festhalle Messe Frankfurt as it is known locally. This year's show will cover a unique range of topics, and focus on some of the biggest challenges that process industries around the world face. To address these issues, the show will bring together experts, decision-makers and trendsetters from countries all over the globe.
In addition, the ACHEMA congress will be themed over each of the five days it will run. This will allow attendees to choose which day will suit them best in terms of the sorts of discussions that will be taking place. For example, Monday, the show's opening day, will be devoted to the hydrogen economy. Thursday 25th August will be themed on further digitalisation in process industries. Other themes include fossil-free production processes, perspectives in laboratory practices and analytics and, finally, novel bioprocesses and technologies.
One of the key areas of interest for attendees is likely to be the show's digital lab interactive stand. This is a so-called action area that will allow conference-goers to experience, handle and experiment with the digital smart lab of the future. Over a dozen exhibitors have come together to produce the interactive stand. Together, they will propose five usage cases which will mean attendees can experience high-tech cross-manufacturer solutions directly. The lab will be networked and digitalized thanks to numerous innovative products and software systems.
Two other zones are worth mentioning since these are likely to be highlights of ACHEMA 2022, too. One is the start-up area which is devoted to those who want to enter the global market of the process industries. It will allow start-ups to present their technological innovations and to expand their network of investors and industry contacts. There again, the green innovation zone is likely to be popular since this will address the increasingly important issue of developing the circular economy in process industries.
Available from mid-July, ACHEMA 2022 will launch its official app. This software will enable attendees to bookmark events and speakers as well as offering a handy matchmaking function for those interested in networking.
