Scheduled for 8th to 10th November 2022 in Nuremberg, SPS is one of the world's leading trade shows for automation, robotics and smart solution technologies. With a slogan that says it will bring automation to life, SPS aims to cover all aspects of smart and digital automation technology including many new concepts and design ideas from innovators around the world. This year's trade show will feature anything from simple sensors to highly intelligent commercial solutions that are in use in industry already. The show's planners state that they want to offer attendees the chance to see what is feasible today in a hands-on way to offer them a vision of a fully digitalised industrial world.
Typically, SPS attracts highly qualified visitors who have a background in industrial processes as well as automation technology. The show was last staged in person in 2019, so this year's event will be the first time in a while that the automation and industrial sectors have had a chance to come together face-to-face. Visitors who cannot attend in the flesh will be able to make use of SPS on Air, a digital version of the trade show that will run online.
To help attendees find what they are most interested in, SPS' organizers have split up exhibitors into different categories. There are 13 of these, ranging from functional groups, including project planning and engineering, to industrial communication, which involves technologies like wireless communication systems and industrial Ethernet, for example. Other categories of product exhibitors include drive systems and components, sensor technology, interface technology as well as software and IT in manufacturing. Among the 60 to 70 thousand visitors that are expected over the course of the three-day event, representatives of manufacturing firms, heavy industry corporations and digital technology companies will make up the bulk of attendees.
This year's show will include joint stands and special showcases. Slated for discussion in 2022 are subjects like data-centered services, predictive maintenance cycles and asset management applications. The exhibition also has a number of main topics that will be among its core points of interest. In 2022, visitors can expect a lot of focus to be placed on mechanical infrastructure, human-machine interfaces and motion control, among other event themes.
Importantly, SPS has changed from its usual dates. Visitors who've been before should take note of this alteration and make a suitable calendar slot available now to avoid being disappointed.
