Scheduled to run from 15th to 17th November 2022, METSTRADE is among the world's foremost trade fairs in the leisure marine industry's calendar. Taking place in Amsterdam, this exhibition is run by METSTRADE, an organization that provides a global platform for professionals in the leisure marine equipment industry year-round. The three-day event gives subscribers to their service, exhibitors and those interested in yachting and other marine leisure pursuits to get together in person at a trade show that is entirely focussed on marine equipment, materials and systems.
Launched in 1988, three specialist sectors are catered for at METSTRADE each year. The 2022 event will be no exception with three pavilions set up at the show for superyachts, marinas and yards and, finally, marine construction materials. In this sense, METSTRADE is like attending three individual trade shows in one go, whether or not visitors choose to head to each of the sectorial pavilions. Please note that in addition to the aforementioned trio of pavilions devoted to various aspects of the marine industry, METSTRADE also features country-specific exhibitor bases, ideal for attendees who want to network with industry partners in particular locations. This year, no fewer than 17 different countries will be represented at the show, including the UK.
A number of conferences and events will coincide with this November's MESTRADE expo, not least the 2022 DAME Design Awards which aim to promote innovations in all disciplines of marine design and which recognise the best-designed products in a given year. In addition, visitors to this year's show will be able to attend several panel discussions on subjects like the future of onboard superyacht technology and greater sustainability in the leisure marine sector. These will be staged at the METSTRADE theater, located in the heart of the show's floor space in Hall 13.
Other highlights of METSTRADE 2022 are expected to be the young professionals club, a symposium for those working in the leisure marine sector today who are under 35 years of age, and Women in the Marine Industry International, a similar event that will be focussed on female professionals. The 2022 edition of the HISWA Marina Symposium will also take place within the context of METSTRADE, focussing on market developments among European marinas. Equally, the planned Superyacht Forum Live event has already booked some big industry names as keynote speakers. Live streaming of it will be available.
