DirectIndustry is jumping on board the rail transport industry

The rail transport sector is moving full steam ahead, and so is DirectIndustry. With the growing global demand for sustainable mobility, we are launching a new Rail Transport category to connect leading suppliers with B2B buyers worldwide.

A fast-growing global market

The global rail industry generates an impressive €240 billion each year. This includes new infrastructure construction, rolling stock manufacturing, and maintenance.

Each year, 10 billion passengers travel by train, and this number will only rise with growing investment in low-carbon transport solutions.

Why launch a dedicated category on DirectIndustry?

Until now, rail-related products were scattered across several subcategories and could only be searched by application. However, with over 200 companies and nearly 700 products already listed, it was time to give this sector the dedicated visibility it deserves.

Our goal: Make it easier for buyers to:

What you'll find inside the new category

What you'll find inside the new category:

✔️Rolling Stock: Design, construction, and maintenance of trains, wagons, and trams. Also included are brakes, bogies, couplers, interior fittings, safety systems, and onboard electronics.

✔️Infrastructure: Rail tracks, catenary systems, automation solutions, switches, and signaling equipment.

✔️Signaling and Communication: Traffic lights, onboard communication systems, and SCADA software for safety automation.

First stop: TRAKO 2025

We’re officially launching the category before TRAKO, one of Europe’s most important railway trade shows, held September 23–26 in Gdańsk, Poland.

📍 Meet us there to discuss how our platform can help you gain visibility, generate leads, and connect with decision-makers in the global rail industry.

All aboard for the future of transport

This launch marks the beginning of a broader expansion. Road, maritime, and air transport will follow soon. Our mission is straightforward: to unify the entire industrial mobility ecosystem online!
