SPACE 2021 returns to Rennes!

Good news for all those in the livestock industry, SPACE 2021 will return from 14-16 September in Rennes, France. The last SPACE, in 2019, presented 1,400 exhibitors and hosted 105,000 visitors from over 40 countries. There will also be even more digital content with virtual sessions during the first three days, and extra content available on Friday 17 September, which can be accessed via the mobile application, the SPACE website and social media.

Highlights of this year's SPACE include:

You can download the Conference Programme here.
If you can't make SPACE in person, podcasts are also available so you can keep up-to-date with the latest innovations.

The list of Innov’Space 2021 award-winners is now available online. You can find out about the 35 awarded products, equipment and services!

Espace for the Future, meanwhile, offers a much-needed opportunity to deliver concrete answers but also presents a chance to discuss, debate and share ideas about this important subject.

Animal presentations are a major part of SPACE and this year is no exception. The world-class Breed Show is expected to host 550 cattle of 13 breeds and 200 sheep and goats of 11 breeds.

Sounds interesting? Here are some details of the new products and technologies showcased at SPACE 2021:

Automatic preparation of powdered chlorine solution: (Hall 4, Stand C99)

DCCNA is an inexpensive chlorine molecule frequently used to disinfect water in livestock breeding and is renowned for good results. However, it is unstable, inclined to quickly dissipate and lead to the emission of chlorine gas. Granulo-Pack by Aquadis provides a solution to these disadvantages as it prepares a small amount of solution a few times a day, thus giving a constant concentration.

Gwiz: Automatic ovulation prediction (Hall 4, stand B41)

Gwiz can accurately detect when a sow is in oestrus and predict the sow's ovulation period by analysing the temperature measured at the vulva and the anus in just a few seconds. Gwiz lets you precisely target the ovulation period, optimising the fertility and prolificity rate.

Fertiboar technology to increase boar utilisation (Hall 8, Stand C40)

PIC's Fertiboar technology facilitates the prediction of boar semen quality based on testicular ultrasound measures before the initial semen collection. It enables producers to identify boars with the best semen quality and use those boars for artificial insemination.

Don't miss out on what promises to be an extremely fascinating and informative exposition.
