IPM Essen is Europe's biggest horticultural and floriculture fair. The 39th international IPM Essen was initially scheduled for January 2022 and will instead run from 24 – 27 January 2023 in Essen, Germany.

Who will be at IPM Essen 2022?

Over one thousand exhibitors from fifty countries will be waiting to introduce you to the latest products and information relating to the plant and flower sector. IPM Essen offers unparalleled opportunities to network with exhibitors, find out the latest research and ideas in the trend presentation lounges and gain inspiration in the numerous shows and exhibitions..

Innovations in four key areas

Each year, IPM Essen provides an exemplary business platform for buyers, influencers and decision-makers in the industry. 

The exhibition presents the latest innovations across four main zones: 

In addition, there is a growing trend to focus on sustainable products designed to mitigate the effects of climate change. Examples include varieties of heat- and cold-resistant plants and shrubs, organic fertilizers, 'green' containers and packaging solutions, and much more. IPM Essen 2022, visitors will also be able to experience the diverse horticultural offerings of partner country Great Britain. The "Quintessentially Green and British" event on Thursday, 26 January, at 2 pm will explore sustainability, the value of new plants, and the current marginal farm model.

The 'Show Your Colours' award 2023

The IPM Essen fair will be attended by specialist forums, shows and themed tours inviting visitors to discover trends, innovations and challenges of the future. The 'Show Your Colours' Award is jointly organized by IPM ESSEN and BIZZ Communications. The plants submitted and their stories will be exhibited in Hall 8. In addition to a jury of experts, visitors to the fair can also choose their favorite. The award ceremony is planned for Thursday, 26 January, at 3 pm in Hall 8.

There are also numerous other special events and activities. The Teaching Show and the Innovation Showcase present the leading plant novelties, while live showcases and the Flower Battle offer a look at the mastery of international florists and floral designers. Lectures, presentations and conferences across the fair will also provide valuable insights into the current developments in horticulture and floriculture.
