The Miami International Boat Show Returns in 2022
The Miami International Boat Show, an important maritime event in Miami since 1969, heads back to the Miami Beach Convention Center in 2022. And this year, for the very first time, it has paired with the Miami Yacht Show and SuperYacht Miami to launch perhaps the world's largest boat shows. The show has an annual economic impact of over $1.5 billion and is one of Miami's premier events of the year.
You can visit more than 1,000 exhibitors and admire thousands of boats for five days from February 16-20 2022. And it's not just boats; this year's show will also feature live concerts and interactive boating experiences, taking place across six venues packed with the latest aqua recreational activities.
Areas of Interest at the Miami International Boat Show
If you are interested in buying boats under 49 feet, head to the Miami Beach Convention Center, where vendors showcase thousands of small boats. And across the street, is Pride Park's Boat Show Experience, where wakeboard simulators, a 40,000-gallon pool, and refreshments await.
Fans of motorboats meanwhile should cross the MacArthur Causeway to One Herald Plaza for an exposition of high-speed boats and large yacht tenders.
If money is no object, go to Sea Isle Marina, where you can test drive 150 boats to see which one is right for you.
Sailing enthusiasts will be catered for at Downtown Miami's Museum Park Marina, the refuelling stop for sailing boats and catamarans.
Finally, SuperYacht Miami is showcasing its collection of superyachts to IGY Yacht Haven Grande at Island Gardens. If you are intrigued by nine-figure boats – and the people they attract – this is the place for you, although you will need to purchase a supplementary ticket.
Entertainments Galore!
This year's Boat Show Experience brings a weekend full of live concerts from 4 – 7 pm Thursday when the rock trio Brothers of Others take on The Stage. On Friday, Classic Rock Therapy will perform their best-loved rock hits. On Saturday, the Private Stock Band will play an eclectic list of hits.
The Boat Show Experience will also feature several interactive areas. The Aqua Zone is an enormous pool where you can experience a host of small watercraft. Guests can learn wakeboarding from the pros and then try their luck in a simulator.
