We take a look back at 2021 to see what societal trends shaped design and architecture.
Via architecture and design awards, we chose some of our favourite international projects from last year. The five projects are the Fyyri library, Shamim polymer factory, a refugee housing project, Taichung historic railroad and the AIRICE future agriculture town. Q&A: London’s Lancer Square Sets New Residential Standard

We spoke to Tim Gledstone, Partner at the British firm Squire & Partners, about Lancer Square, an impressive 212,000 sq ft West London residential development completed in July 2021. Public Toilet Awareness and Design

On November 19, 2001, the World Toilet Organization was launched to raise awareness about the importance of access to hygienic public bathrooms, as many countries suffer a lack of public toilets, particularly for women.
