Miami International Boat Show Set to Offer Progressive Experience

Due to be staged over five days in February – from the 15th to the 19th – the Miami International Boat Show has become an essential part of the boating world's calendar in North America since it first began in 1969. Split over six separate locations in Miami – including the Miami Beach Convention Center, the much-loved Venetian Marina and Museum Park Marina, to name but three – the forthcoming event will feature what the organizers are billing as a progressive boating experience. The idea is to highlight many of the latest electrically powered propulsion systems in production today, offering more sustainable forms of yachting, as well as to promote community involvement and stewardship of the world's oceans by professionals in the boating industry.

Trade Visitors' Highlights

Among the many aspects of the show that will be of interest to trade visitors are the numerous VIP experiences that can be expected. The Windward VIP experience is just one that will be on offer at the trade fair, offering professionals the chance to mingle together with a premium bar plus gourmet food. If you are interested in networking at the forthcoming event, then it is also worth knowing that the Miami International Boat Show is now combined with the SuperYacht Miami show which used to be staged on its own. Largely because the joint shows are likely to attract so many trade visitors, the organizers have decided to put on a series of events run by Informa Markets, the trade fair's parent company. These platforms have been created to help all operators – especially up-and-coming ones – in the boating sector and related luxury markets to innovate and grow by finding new clients.

A sustainable Trade Show

Those visitors who are concerned by their carbon footprints should note that the Miami International Boat Show looks set to be more sustainable than ever before. Nova Southeastern University has been retained to conduct a survey of the waters surrounding the various marinas in an attempt to minimize disruption to wildlife, for example. Meanwhile, several conference venues have been chosen specifically for their low environmental impact. Additionally, boating industry visitors will be able to find the sorts of things that interest them most by making use of the show's digital directory. This means being able to find the location of boats and yachts according to specific search criteria or to book a water taxi, for instance.
